New Entrance

The entrance to St John's was a maze of dark wood and doors, this has been completely transformed by the removal of the internal porchway and the replacement of the old external and internal doors with glass doors. This has made the entrance into the church building open, light and most important, welcoming.

Once in the church building there is now a Narthex area which is used as a welcome area for serving refreshments.

Once it goes dark outside there is low level lighting within the church building giving a hint of life, we have a large wooden cross (made from an old pew!!) which can be seen from the main road in front of the church.

Externally we have a disabled ramp leading up to an additional porchway giving a little shelter before entering the building.
